How to Break Camp Without Leaving a Mess
Shortly I must put off my tent,
just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me.
2 Peter 1:14
There is a helpful article on the Internet, How to Break Camp Without Leaving a Mess.
When Peter was ready to pull his tent stakes, he was concerned with far more than not leaving a mess. He was intent on leaving a memory—a positive impression of His Savior. Every believer will break camp. It may be today. We have occupied a site in life. We have pitched our life within a family, within a local assembly, in our community and places of education, friendships and professional societies. Are we cultivating a memory and testimony for the Savior in each and every relationship?
Today is the day to begin preparing to break camp. Have mercy on others who will occupy the site after you. Don't leave a mess of life behind. Leave a positive memory of a life lived for the Lord Jesus.
